06.11.2025 08:10 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0but i wanna play pyro at some point again... when my burnout ends :3
05.11.2025 18:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0due to an abundance of positive, negative and neutral reactions regarding my recent nickname on steam, i have finally decided to give my filamental the description tag it deserves :3
(yes i'm still exactly at 100k, i have not played a single second of pyro in over a month lol)
i know i said i wouldn't do it... buuuut i'm honestly tempted to draft my own ideal vision of casual the next time i'm bored at work lol
mainly because a lot of the arguments i've seen tend to (almost blindly?) overlook some of the major drawbacks quickplay's "features" have
also, it's honestly fascinating how generation gaps affect even "niche" things like a specific video game :3
the veterans (2007-2011) say F2P killed the game, the seasoned players (2011-2016) say MyM killed the game, and the newcomers (2017-2025) don't seem to care that much lol
having more options will *always* be a good thing - there will always be something, for someone, to enjoy
"spreading the playerbase thin" is part of a completely different problem only tangentially, if not, completely unrelated to there simply being more options to choose from
i don't think it's for me but i'll probably give it a shot and i'm glad people are still making content of any kind for tf2 :3
i don't know why so many tf2 players are allergic to the concepts of choice and free will - there's more to life than 24/7 payload tf2 i promise you π
but at least there's good news, i guess
despite previous attempts to show my CPU temperature in the performance metrics overlay in the past (spanning several days even), suddenly they just work now for no reason whatsoever
gonna see how long that lasts before it's gone again :3
i've reached this point of delusion where so many of my tech-related issues exclusively happen on Tuesdays that i'm honest to god genuinely considering locking myself out from all devices with a chip inside them on Monday 23:59 'til Wednesday 00:01
i can't take it anymore!!!! :3
shoutout to amd snap settings for, expectedly, not (ex/im)porting all the settings i wanted to (ex/im)port
not that i was expecting much from modern software anyways! >w<
and, of course, this all happens on a Tuesday
hopefully windows won't decide to ignore my newly setup group policy not to install any drivers whatsoever anymore :3

28.10.2025 19:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1this thread was dead on arrival on the bird app and i forgot to cross-post it to here so... might as well :3
(the 1 comment and 2 of the 6 engagements are me)
also, in that 25-hour timespan i even managed to clear most of these by myself - 15 contracts a day is insane...
but i'd like to thank a few of my friends for helping out with ~10% of the maps (as well as anyone who offered to help in case i wasn't going to make it otherwise) :3
i'm not able to enjoy tf2 (or games in general) like i used to because i've become a grown ass man with a job & countless other responsibilities, but i'm happy i was still able to enjoy my favorite event in one of my favorite video-games of all time >w<
thank you, valve π§‘
and now, despite filtering out Stockholm, which is (sadly) by far the most popular server region in Europe, i was finding matches faster than ever before :3
i'm glad that, since those complaints a year ago, things have noticeably improved, despite the abundance of server regions
each year until now, i remember having to do the contracts early in the event because, around this time, it would take upwards of 10-15 minutes to find a map
it was especially bad last year, when i was forced to play on high ping to get any matches at all (because of matchmaking bugs, not the maps)
that wasn't too bad, only took about 25 hours (4 days of playing) :3
i've been quite pleasantly surprised with the matchmaker this year - despite starting and completing VERY late, the average wait time was consistently 20-30 seconds (and, worst case, 10-15 minutes for one map)
bulby art by degonghost btw!! :3

(on a half-related note, is it just me or are there no trends like these on bsky? i could be mistaken though, i'm not too active here π)
it doesn't seem like much but keep in mind i'm not in the position to play tf2 every single day anymore, much less-so for extended periods of time
this might potentially be the first year since i started playing 10 years ago that i won't be able to do them all
time will tell...
i am fashionably 6 days late but after coming home from vacation & dealing with chores/work i can finally start the contract grind i've been longing for the past year
only problem is, by my calculations, i will have to average 3 contracts a day if i want to complete them all :3
exactly...
16.10.2025 07:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0wild how this works retroactively too, breaking every single link i've ever put in the descriptions of my videos
we've already witnessed the death of online privacy and security, and now it's time to say goodbye to the only thing left that made the internet great - anonymity >w<
man i gotta stop eating late at night (or just skip dinner entirely lol) because now i can't eat anything in the morning at all π
14.10.2025 02:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0decided to make a new pinned post cuz the old one (from nearly a year ago) sucked lol
too much useless information & rambling, so i decided to go for something much more concise that can fit in one post :3
π currently i'm still more active on Twitter/X so you should really follow me there if you still use it, but if not, i'm doing my best to cross-post to Bluesky anyways :3
that being said, social media in general is very low priority in my life atm and Discord remains the best way to reach out to me
my sincerest apologies bsky gang, i posted this on twitter 6 days ago and i just now realized i forgot to post it here </3
12.10.2025 11:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0oh yeah, in addition to (1), due to shipping, taxes, tariffs, etc... or whatever, this PC would've been 30-40% cheaper to build and buy in the USA than in this fourth-world country, even though Serbia's minimum wage is 3+ times lower
actually insane :3
