finally got to try out this beast and i'm more than satisfied :3

here's 30-second footage of me driving around Calais, the most populous city in TruckersMP, at 30-40fps, night time, 80 people around, and ultra settings

my old pc would get like 5fps on lowest settings here lol

before i had a job (half a year ago) i never understood why some people were just allergic to writing emails compared to irl/phone convos & it pisses me off to this day

now that i have a job i realize just how much allergic people are to writing emails & it's honestly insane :3

...and that finally fucking fixes it :3

thank god because i had nothing else to try apart from buying a new monitor

i mean, i'm probably gonna get a new monitor about a month from now anyways, but at least this saves me the wait (and i could potentially use it as a 2nd monitor)

after two days of helplessly troubleshooting this issue that precisely 0 other people in the world had, as a last-ditch effort, i bought a DP cable instead of using HDMI...

it wouldn't be a brokenphilip-certified first ever pc build without brokenphilip having to deal with the most unexplainable ungooglable unexistent problems the pc world has ever unseen :3

it honestly reminds me of those annoying ads you'd often see on blogs and/or news sites which blend in with the text, making it seem like it belongs there when it's actually completely unrelated to what you're reading, effectively serving as nothing but a dishonest distraction

i get that the social media wars are all about getting people to stay on your platform (read: slop slop slop slop slop) but if i'm hard-set on finding "rocket science" videos i am NOT just going to click off and watch the funny cats compilation you keep showing every 2 seconds

youtube showing you "recommended videos" unrelated to your search terms has got to be one of the worst additions to any website in internet history

imagine if google started showing search results for "things you may like" even though that's absolutely not what you searched for

verdict: i should travel more methinks :3

a good 90% of my dreams are just weird (and don't get me wrong, this definitely falls under that category too) but it's nice to wake up from a dream that i genuinely enjoyed from start to finish instead of being in shock from how weird (and sometimes really sad) it was lol

just woke up from a dream where i travelled across a bunch of silly locations around the globe with a few (random) people i knew

i can't quite go in detail because it was pretty long and a lot of stuff happened, but it was one of the nicest and funniest dreams i ever had :3
