Personal bugbear of mine. Why oh why do women get asked if they’re « Miss » or « Mrs » - like we’re somehow defined by whether we’re married or not?! I checked in my car for some diagnostic tests yesterday and was asked this. To make it worse - there wasn’t even a « Ms » option. 😡🤬😡

I totally agree. Imagine if men had to declare to their marital status with their name! Ms it is!

Anyway on the topic of self and independent publishing - I think it’s vital for Irish literature because it allows writers to delve into subjects & ideas that are relevant and powerful without fear of rejection because of the market or a risk-averse mindset.
