This is a wonderful and rare cream-coloured ERIKA Model 12 #typewriter from 1956. This typewriter has not been over-painted-it is all original. The brown keys add a rich counterpoint to the creamy colour scheme. The typing action is soft and fast.

Here is a model 10/50 #typewriter, by Torpedo, from 1974. It is quite handsome with a wonderful sleek look that is quite modern even by today's standards. It types with a fine light feeling and is available now at Acme.
This is one of the last models produced by the fabled Torpedo (Germany) Factory.
Why not a real one? Not a big price difference I think… And you could actually type something with it!

The design elements—the curves from side view, the red buttons on the cover etc.—raise this machine to a higher level than most of the typewriters of the period.

I admit that these uncommon Robotron "Cella" typewriters were "off my radar" until I saw one in the collection of Tom Hanks. So I found one, and this one is identical to the one in Hanks' collection. Robotrons were produced in East-Germany beginning in 1969. Available now on our website #typewriter

This is a fine example of an early, Torpedo manufactured, Model 18B #typewriter, from 1951. It was made by the Torpedo company in Germany and sold in the UK as the "Blue Bird". Look at the beautiful imprint that says "Made in Germany — U.S. Zone". Available now at Acme! See link in bio to purchase.
