It has an electric heat pump for central heat and air, and a simple wood-burning fire place for backup heat. I’ll probably keep the thermostat fairly low in the winter and use the fireplace a lot. Every room also has a ceiling fan so I can avoid setting the AC low in the summer.

If there are any blessings to transitioning later in life, it’s got to be being in your late 50s and having the tits of a 19 year old.

Dilation is not that bad. I did it for 30 minutes twice a day for 6 months. Still doing it 30 minutes once a day. I just play games or doom scroll on my phone. For that matter, surgical recovery wasn’t all that bad either.

Thanks. It was a long time ago, kids are adults now, and, good news, she eventually got sober and even apologized to me for all of it. It definitely wasn’t helpful to her relationship with the kids though. Still strained to this day.

I totally get it. One of my exes was an alcoholic. I tried to help her. She saw it as an attempt to manipulate and control her. It drove a wedge between us that led her end our marriage and I became a single parent to 2 kids. Unfortunately, people have to want your help, before you can help them.
