Beautiful skies over Berlin yesterday, noontime and sunset.

A few weeks ago I went to the Yoko Ono exhibit at the Gropius Bau, and really liked a lot of it. This was really fun: instructions to hammer a nail into the painting, and I chose to add a $2 bill (yes, that’s a real US bill) that I’ve carried in my wallet for almost 15 years. I loved participating.

I had a truly beautiful visit with my dearest Mama this month, a welcome break from Berlin winter in sweet California.

Seven years ago today my husband and I were about to move to Germany. It was a really hard time, as my dear stepfather was gravely ill and actually died on February 13th. Always a poignant time of year, with hope and loss all mixed together. This little guy, however, continues to brighten life.

Spent a restorative weekend mostly not thinking about the horrors of the world. Alpine carnival traditions are specifically about taking a break from the usual!

This is my vibe, these days, or that which I aspire to. I am working hard to love people for their best selves and hold space for their worst, rather than ignoring them, but you bet your buns I'm living my life, my way.

Social media has been half-toxic in my life for so long that it's hard to think about actually posting things again. But I can give it a try!

I've had a hard week, so I put on my mala, to remind me to be as compassionate as possible, also with those to cut me to the bone.
