Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

If anything good is coming of the #tiktokban it’s the migration to RedNote - regular Americans and Chinese folks realising the other isn’t so bad, so different. A friend. Dare I say, a comrade.

So I’m new to @bsky.app but I’m finding I’m being followed by what I assume to be bots. Is that common on here? I can manage it, but I’m curious… perhaps @support.bsky.team has some insight?
I’ve deleted Meta apps and X from my device, with a view to deactivating my accounts on the platforms. I will not allow my engagement to line the pockets of, and provide power to, Zuckerberg and Musk.
New: Meta has deleted trans and nonbinary Messenger themes, as well as the blog posts announcing them. Happens the same week that it has changed its rules to allow users to say LGBTQ+ people are "mentally ill"
