A man rushed to the Broadview ICE facility searching for his wife. They followed every legal step, but ICE took her into another room and she vanished. He tracked her phone there when the signal died. Police told him to “look up her name online.” He sat in the parking lot, weeping, with no answers.

Pretty much every church with a mostly white congregation and leadership structure said no, bye.

There’s a young southern woman on tt doing an experiment: calling churches & asking if they can help her get baby formula, saying she can’t afford it. Of the 30+ she’s called, nearly every church has said no. The ones who said yes were:

If it works out that SNAP benefits do ultimately get out faster and a decision by the full SC (owned by Trump) is avoided it’s a true win-win. People get the help they need and Trump is on record asking the SC to allow him to starve people.

This is the facility that I and many others have been protesting. We’ve been hit, thrown, gassed, and shot with pepper bullets but none of that holds a candle to what is being done to people *in* the actual facility.
