Any efforts to help people in your community with caregiving responsibilities is urgently needed mutual aid.

Even if it’s just about giving someone a chance to rest and care for themselves for a few hours, that’s huge when so many people can barely keep their heads above water.

Their refusal to be surrounded by experts has caused some epic stepping on rakes in the last few days. I can find a little bit of joy in the sheer incompetence of it all--their self-inflicted losses reduces the sense of inevitability of doom.
