I've been pretty happy using kamal-deploy.org on an heztner box. Worked as easily as fly did for a few of my little projects.

Really enjoying the fact i can just give a coding agent access to an aws cli/cloudflare account and have it setup a s3 static site in five minutes.
dangerous af though ๐
claude code is wonderful at coming up with domains and then checking to see if they are available using cli tools.
just don't download a domain registration mcp server ๐
How many projects do you have that are exactly like this on your hard drive? #buildinpublic

My new favorite prompting technique.
Reminding claude that if it doesn't do a good job we can't afford to feed the dog ๐
Hard to believe there isnโt a Node.js full-stack framework built around dependency-free installation.

Migrated to an Elixir Phoenix LiveView monolith from a Nuxt UI + Phoenix backend for WallStRank.com, and holy smokes, the DX is now perfect!! ๐
Video is from halfway around the world from where the servers are deployed, and I think perf and interactions are pretty great!

Looks fantastic!
Although I really want liveview to have a mouse over preload cache... it would make everything instant for this style of site.
I haven't touch ruby or rails in about ten years since I went all in with #elixirlang.
I just watched www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcwz... and it truly brought back excitement for that ecosystem.
The killer thing that isn't released yet is replicated sqlite. Really looking forward to that.
I think that team size is going to have to shrink quite a bit.
Or maybe QA gets a huge bump in headcount to deal with the massive amount of code/bugs people can produce with these full agent setups.
In episode 199, we'll unlock the power of LiveView's Portal component and 'teleport' a LiveComponent to create a sleek, real-time album search modal.

A remarkably refreshing take on good system design:

on a crash or reconnect your dom will be replaced by the server state.

I think you would need to add a:
<div phx-mounted={JS.yourcodehere}>
so pretty: charm.land

This is kinda interesting: A team of 4 can create so much code it's impossible for a lead to review.

Skill issue or ticking time bomb?
Just in case you didn't know, you can use your claude code max plan with github.com/sst/opencode
you are welcome.
ai girlfriend that has loot box mechanics... this it the most disturbing idea i've ever heard, but on the flip side it's a billion dollar idea.

๐ฎ Iโm starting a โLetโs Codeโ series where I build a procedural ARPG in Zig with raylib.
I just put up a short intro video - early systems, and where itโs headed.

skill issues are the best kind of issues to have as a programmer.
they mean there's room to grow, improve, and learn something new.
