Had a joyous (and surprisingly moving) time at this. Rare to be offered this kind of opportunity to look back and celebrate. So, so lucky to have had @reproutopia.bsky.social there to reflect with me, so sharp and so insightful and so interesting and so effortlessly charismatic!

It's about bronatalism, post-natural sex, reproductive futurism, fathering vs. mothering (in a more-than-gendered sense), transhumanist transphobia and the portfolio approach to baby-making.

I often think about Simondonโ€™s point that the notion of โ€˜jobsโ€™ in the sense of social roles distorts our understanding of โ€˜workโ€™ in the sense of what is actually done in industry. I think itโ€™s probably going to be useful for thinking about the social effects of the coming wave of AI deployment.
