I mean, I get what you’re saying but she’s 2. It’s pretty normal at 2 to eat only a few foods. If she doesn’t grow out of it, I would look into it but you really can’t diagnose a 2yo with AFRID. Most 2yos are very picky.

Yes! Her first time, she didn’t do great but she’s 2 and it was at noon 😂

Sometimes she will eat apples and cucumber so trust this will sustain her. 😂

All she eats currently is Ritz crackers, pepperoni, and popsicles. 🫡

Cotton candy is like a food made specifically for 2yo girls. And yet…??? I told her it’s what unicorns eat but she doesn’t even care.

Trying to get my daughter to try a new food at the Washington Spirit game and she’s screaming NO I WONT TRY IT and crying. Reader, the food is cotton candy.

I’ve literally never played this game and not had a random child just start playing, too. Sometimes multiple children.

When I push my 2yo on the swings we play a game called Favorites where I ask her if she likes choice A or B better (for instance, chocolate or vanilla ice cream? Anna or Elsa?)and NO CHILD can resist answering if they are within earshot, even if they don’t know us. Everyone just wants to be known!!!

In the past few weeks I’ve heard a mom arguing with her 3yo about whether a (perfectly safe) slide was “too big” for her or not and a dad arguing with a five year about “we aren’t going to get sandy today, no sandbox” and it’s like…just embrace the chaos

When parents take their kids to a park but then I hear them telling their kids they can’t play with certain things at the park I’m just like…why would you do that to yourself

My five year old would be mad the 2yo got to go first and we’d have to climb back into the plane so they could take turns.

My biggest fear is getting into a plane crash with my children where nobody dies but we have to take the emergency slides out of the plane bc I just know my 2yo would throw a fit because she WANTS TO GO DOWN IT AGAINNNNNNNN while I’m trying to get them to run away from the dripping jet fuel

I’ve been taking anti-anxiety meds for about a month now and wow, I’m a way better parent. Im not totally fixed but I don’t lose my temper with my kids anymore and the same Storybots song about volcanoes isn’t constantly playing on a loop in my head. (Possibly related)

That’s so funny, those were like my easiest parenting months. But everyone loves 8-12 months and those were SO HARD for me!!!

Big pet peeve in movies and tv is when they have a drawing that’s supposed to be by a kid but is clearly by an adult tying to draw like a kid. Can they not get someone’s kid to draw stuff??? It’s always so obvious.

I will although my 5yo has grown out of his train-obsessed phase, he does still enjoy trains and I think he always will.

Yesterday my 5yo said he was bored and I said “go play with your trucks” and he goes “I don’t really care about trucks anymore” and I knew it was coming but Jesus Christ this was a 2yo who could identify a skid steer. We once watched a road being built for an hour. 😭😭
