In short: Chinese Canadians moved away from the Conservatives, which I argue is in response to the party's exclusionary image. However, ESEAs did not, despite shared racialization as Asian. Hence, group-specific racist rhetoric can weaken potential for panethnic linked fate & thus solidarity.
