Fun Fact (not really): Verizon uses them for their FiOS mail services, so even modern internet people might not be getting email for a little while. Not like I use it for anything important, though.

I've had Google Voice since back when it was Grand Central (mid 00s?), and that's been the primary use for the number ever since. Nobody who I'd want to talk to has that number and I set it to display my GV number on caller ID, so whenever I see it pop up, I just ignore and wait for the VM.

Not the specific heater, but ones in that form factor. We no longer have our oil heater, leaving our 10x10 bathroom unheated until later this year when we’ll remodel and add heated floor.

Re: Personalization

While you can set different images for lock screen and home screen, it’s gotten more difficult since iOS 26. What should be 2-3 taps is now 6+ taps.

Re: Notifications

Since at least Android 8, I’ve had unique notification sounds for every app. And where supported, separate channels within apps. Ring, for example, different sounds for each camera. WhatsApp? Only supports stock sounds, not the ~200 I added manually.

Important note: this is NOT an “I hate iOS” thread. I actually like using my iPhone regularly, just not as my primary device for the reasons below. There’s more, but I’m keeping it simple.

As I begin my 4th day of using my iPhone for everything, I’m already missing Android so much. I absolutely LOVE the reception and battery life of my 14 Pro Max compared to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. But little things drive me nuts…

Overall battery health is also down to 94%. I've had this phone for ~15 months.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max is 4 years old, sees less but still daily use, and also has 94% battery health remaining.

I'm getting really pissed off at my Pixel 9 Pro XL's battery life. I've been unplugged for less than 6 hours, and with barely anything more than some Spotify streaming, I'm at 53% battery.

Some days, I wonder if I should have left Samsung.

Sounds like my recent luck with the I5. No tire issues yet, but definitely have some paint and scratch issues after spending more than 5 seconds on the NJ Turnpike.

I got the wheel/tire/leather warranty from the dealer. Well worth $400 given how much tires and wheels are to repair.

Did you have the Michelin 20" tires on your IONIQ 5 as OEM?

That's what mine came with and they definitely sucked when I had to drive in a surprise snow squall in Ontario last year. Back home in less snowy PA, they were passable.
