But yeah that's the short version of why I feel a strong connection and relate with Zorah & Noir Dedede... (that + I fr wanna cosplay and dress like Noir irl..... one day, one day)

Their story (minus gigantes) + even the lyrics for starlit journey really speak to me, and it reminds me a lot about my personal struggles & dreams & what I aspire to become: a fragment of freedom

And I think I'm finally starting to know how that feels... better late than never!

I also relate with the "battling in secret" title

Mental & emotional battles I keep to myself nowadays. As alone, depressed or uncertain I may feel, they're battles I believe that, while tough, I'm working thru them & realizing that this dark tunnel has a spark of hope in it..!

As someone w/ executive dysfunction + grew up in a sedentary lifestyle, which led to fomo & feeling behind in life, it hit home.

I felt I had the ability to only dream my life instead of living it. So I instead watched the world spin, while everyone's lives kept moving onwards.

I also connect a lot with the title of these two chapters: "surrendering to time" & "battling in secret"

The sequence where the seasons change while Zorah's unable to move, only being able to dream and observe, is the best way I can describe my mental/emotional state growing up.

Ever since the reveal trailer, Noir to me was like "omg that's a cool af looking design!!"

But then after I played story mode & sat with the cutscenes, Zorah's story and the manifestation of what became Noir Dedede really connected with me on a personal level.

Zorah and Noir Dedede aren't just my favs, they're also characters I relate to

For a month, I've been wanting to make a full thread or at least share a page of my journal on why they both mean so much to me... but I'll just share my feelings in a much smaller thread instead. 🧵

I had set up a bday event on my throne wishlist and, while I didn't receive any surprise gifts when it ended, i was actually able to buy one of my wishlist items!

It was a new art tablet! I got it as an early bday gift for myself and it came on the last day of February! :D

I was too tired to draw the other two days for the countdown to march 1 LOL

One of these dayz I'll have the energy (and balls) to do a daily drawing countdown, instead of just doing only one and then skipping the rest due to fatigue! 🙂‍↕️
