It's like riding a bike

So excited to be taking part in the iRacing 24 Hours of Daytona once again this coming weekend for the first time in 3 years! This year I will be teaming up with @aeroteq.bsky.social having the same goal in mind as always, raising money for da kids through Extra Life!

Ignoring the tree that jumped right out in front of me at the start, everything in this flight was totally 100% intentional and I am literally just that skilled at playing quadcopters 😎

Thankfully the flying blender has fully enclosed/ducted props and only weighs 52 grams!

It's no worse than someone lobbing a tennis ball at your chest. I actually land it like this most of the time so I don't have to get up from my seat lmao

Feeling very confident with throttle control IRL now!

The gap near the end is probably the craziest thing I've hit so far. Took a few attempts and I cracked a frame in the process, but a small dab of gorilla glue got it flying good as new

Full edit of my first month flying should be dropping soon™

It's the point of art 'when you are an artist/creative'

I think you're missing the point that not everyone sees art this way. The majority of people who are non-artists, only care about the final product.

Why is this concept so hard for people to grasp?

My variant on this is that judging something as being “interesting” rather than “good” should be normalized. There are lots of polished, fine-tuned products that I find bland as hell, and there’s lots of poorly-made, incomprehensible media that is utterly fascinating!

"All people do in VRChat is smoke, drink, ERP, then pass out in a Popcorn Palace"

Yeah, okay buddy.

generally getting very sick of people not understanding art. there are no set rules. there's a natural flow from experimentation and research towards general consensus of what works and what doesn't. just cuz your findings break someone else's conventions doesn't mean it's not gonna work. lmao

Check under your chaaaaairs!
(or in your Jinxxy/kofi/GR downloads)

Like I said earlier, I'll make a big celebratory post in a few days once I have more media put together, so get working on your upgrades and help promote things once the time comes!

In vrchat, you can like just throw your own events and you don’t have to wait for venues to book you, theres a ton of open to use worlds to throw shows in

Remember when we used to play music for 8-12 hours straight almost every single night inside of a low poly shark for the love of the music and uplifting our friends / honing our crafts together? It's a shame how distant that culture feels now.

On the other hand, it really makes you appreciate actual high quality work so much more
