Comparably, since I took a break from writing, I filled my notes and docs with quotes and inspirations and random thoughts and ideas because I was touching grass again

I constantly see advice on #writertok and #booksky how authors should be constantly working on the next idea and really powering through to hit these milestones of 30k words, 50k, 100k, etc, and it’s true but without the right balance makes me resent what I love to do.

If you have writer’s block, what if you just don’t write? — it seemed absurd to even consider this advice but I didn’t know what else to do and he was right. I went to the museum, got a movie theater pass, and did some sketching… Literally anything not writing
