dude can't balance a budget, can't handle criticism, protects abusers, and has tantrums and removes services when he doesn't get what he wants
what could possibly go wrong?
Oh he's been blaming all his mistakes on council since forever and the population here that are scared of their own shadows and/or really like the idea of unhoused folks getting beaten up love him
Dude has all the diplomacy of a toddler who skipped naptime.
It'll be a heck of a ride if he gets in.
a power play?
oh but the Chief making up imaginary numbers was what?
and I'm still not over her having to use the budget to buy herself a new car because she was embarrassed to be seen in the one she was given because it was old
I have vision loss due to MS that would make me an unsafe driver. Bike lanes are accessibility for people like me. They're also accessibility for people under the age of 16.
Participating in society shouldn't require a driver's license and a vehicle.
Really appreciate the work many of you do here
Master class press release.
Ok but this would be amazing. Though I'm pretty sure I'd walk in there and it would be Yakkety Sax.
I'm so glad he was there to point that out to me. Looking back, it was such a chaotic time, but moments like that - decisions like that - make me confident that my dad knew we loved him so much.
I've seen how my kid and his friends support each other, how they show up for each other and honestly if their friends group is representative of their generation at all, the world is going into very good hands.
When my dad had dementia I was picking out clothes for him to wear and my kid said maybe we should ask Grandpa what he wants to wear rather than choosing for him
I hadn't thought to do that because they were his clothes. He bought them all. But allowing him choices meant dignity. My kid saw that.
Kids are growing up during so much uncertainty and just downright malevolence, and so many of them are growing up kind despite it. Like absolutely this would have been a cruel thing when we were young but now it's just leave him be, bro's doing his thing.
It's like they're very obviously working at developing a persona. At least that's how he uses it.
It can go either way. Like they're trying to be cool, and maybe they are. Maybe they pull a card out of the deck and it was the one you'd written your name on. Or maybe that card falls out of their sleeve while they're shuffling. The Enterprise does look cool when it banks.
My kid uses it in a manner that implies someone is doing a lot of work at a trivial thing in an attempt to look effortlessly cool.
Explained about how STNG frustrated my ex pilot dad bc the Enterprise was banking and spaceships wouldn't do that & kid replied maybe the capitan was aura farming.
Ok but I think that "aura farming" is the best new slang I've heard and I hope it gets more widespread use because it is such a great descriptor
Slurs spoke themselves unto the mouths of young GOP members again! I just hope that they're all OK!🤡
Slurs emitted themselves fully formed, from the fingertips of innocent far-right people! That must have been terrifying for them! 🤡
Pray for those that survived spontaneous chat room devolution! 🤡
and by "loser" I mean "person I just met who also has MS"
and by "shopping" I mean "bullying our nervous system until it does what we want it to"
I don't know you but I'm down. I'll bring snacks and a hammer
hi yes can I apply to be defunded please
I promise to be just as dramatic as VicPD and will also make up statistics.
Chocolate bar prices have increased 375329% pls give me more money
also I need a new bicycle because the one I'm riding is old and I'm embarrassed to be seen on it Ó╭╮Ò
They killed little girls.
What is wrong with our leader?
“It serves VicPD’s interests, not the public’s, to release text justifying their officers’ actions, while not releasing any text about what they did.” #DefundVicPD #yyj www.needsmorespikes.com/blog/vicpd-s...
I've heard good things about Botox for MS. I hope it's really helping him.
And yeah, this disease really seems to be about doing the most you can for as long as you can. Enjoying everything, no matter how tiny it is. Every small victory. Even when they're so small you can hardly see them as a win.
I was asked last week about my plan to use assisted death.
I have no plan, and this shocked the person who asked me. Because I have a progressive disability, it was assumed I should be making exit plans.
I'm no longer interested in hearing how other folks would hate to be as disabled as I am.
#trigeminal_neuralgia has joined the chat
I feel like I'm being dishonest sometimes when I apply for #MS related benefits because I don't look like how able-bodied people expect people with disabilities to look
anyways I got a bit too much sun and now I'm getting the hug and double vision and
maybe I should be nicer to myself
pretty sure no one who regularly rides a bicycle calls themselves an avid cyclist
like I can't drive due to disability but I don't describe myself as an avid cyclist or an avid walker
I have MS. I cannot ride a standard bicycle. My ebike cost less than half of your imaginary number. Stop being ableist. People with disabilities should be able to ride bikes too.
Didn't realize David Simon was writing this episode of reality
mood
Clinton: It then got at the end quite unusual because I started being asked about UFOs and a series of questions about Pizzagate. One of the most vile bogus conspiracy theories that was propagated on the internet.
There are far too many cyclists who think that if they're just really good boys and girls on their bike that drivers won't kill them. And that is because they are all victims of an abusive system of car dependency.
