So then you end up with this hollow idea that Dallas is just a “southern LA” and that’s just…not true at all. If anything, it just shows me that you aren’t trying to build real roots—just be a spectator and critic to the culture here that you haven’t even taken part of. 👎🏽

Y’all transplants aren’t going to get it or understand, because most of the time you come here, you frequent areas and businesses that are catering to your want for AESTHETIC and not to community. Not to creativity and CULTURE.

I will say this—Dallas has some of the best people the world has to offer and I’m so grateful to be from here.

Idk. I guess this is just a weird way of saying I am not “happy” to be needed as a body guard or a social injustice/racism buffer for the people I love, per se, but I AM eager to provide them with any relief I can in whatever settings that my skin color might afford privilege.

If ur not using your access to privilege in real ways to help make other’s lives easy or safe, what’s the point bozo?

This way you don’t have to engage in things that cause discomfort or that may encourage them further to listen to their (likely) bias and label you as difficult when ur literally just tryna have a good time!! You worry about enough!!
