i struggle to say much about it honestly, watching two characters support each other is what i wanted frankly so

i think my favorite episodes are all near the end with one exception

i'd probably give it a solid 8/10

28 days later was pretty good, strong characters and was engaging

I accidentally let my free trial of Crunchyroll end without canceling. As such, I'm trying to watch shows while I have access to make it worth it.

I found a show I loved on accident. I also can't tell you what show that is. It's not embarrassing, necessarily, but deeply personal.

i can't point to any specific good thing in the movie, but i remember getting kinda invested at certain points. it was not *completely* intolerable...

if you have to shove emotional music from a different fucking movie into a scene to make it emotional, then perhaps the scene you made in this movie is just fucking bad?

also the framing device the movie uses is just annoying.

the outsiders are different than they were in the lion king 2.

the number of times throughout the movie they try to call back to the original is fucking embarrassing. the score does not stand on its own. "circle of life" as a quote shows up like 17 fucking times from 5 different characters.

all the songs were about middling. i don't know what happened. when i saw lin manuel-miranda did the songs i was kinda surprised... i guess disney hasn't been able to make a good musical since encanto so i don't know

like even trying to ignore the genAI thing it looks like ass still!

some of the voice actors felt like they almost gave a damn sometimes... even a soulless product produced by a soulless corporate entity requires souls to make it work i guess

it still looks like ass! for some reason scene transitions fade for a really long time to the point that i was timing them. i swear one took upwards of 5 seconds and it made no sense in the context of the movie

everything looks way too damn blurry and the lighting is extremely uncanny

the characters feel more expressive than they did in the lion king 2019 i guess. but the expressiveness is one of the things that came off the most genAI to me. i don't know if they did use AI or not but i'd bet money they did it's so fucking uncanny

how the fuck can you have all the money, all the resources, all the artists, all the technology at your disposal. and this is the best you can fucking do? a musical where all the songs feel forced?

also like... him. halfway through the movie bro just begins looking and talking completely differently than he did, like i swear i'd watch it back to make sure i'm not going fucking insane but i just don't wanna

visually it made my eyes bleed. i slept it off to make sure my initial reaction was tempered a bit, cuz i was not chill last night i will say that

there are... many elements that look artificially generated. it looks kinda ass at a lot of points and i didn't even look all too closely

so firstly the plot is obvious predictable and contrived, none of the characters are really sticking with me at all with one exception but it's not a good exception

everything about this movie on a conceptual level is so fucking stupid it could warrant a feature-length critique

i tried to go in with an open mind... like surely it can't be that bad... probably just boring forgettable corporate slop

it was actually pretty good, way better than the first two... don't remember what scores i gave them on first watch but they both sit around a 6/10 for me now

sonic 3 the hedgehog the movie though can get a 7/10

now i just need to watch one more movie and i'll have caught up with my goal... hmmmm...

i watched the miku movie

i haven't played the game so i was playing catchup during the movie

recognized a few characters just cuz important folks in my life like em

it hit harder than it might've otherwise with me because i'm a sucker for finding hope in despair

i played balatro finally and i am obsessed

i'm too much of a high rolling stubborn asshole to be good at the game but there is certainly something extremely addicting here

genuinely go buy it if you haven't played it extremely quality 8/10 could easily go up after i play it even more

i watched the minecraft movie

it's slop but at least it was pretty funny slop, the movie's quality for you genuinely hinges on how funny you find the jack black delivery of stupid lines like "chicken jockey"

otherwise it really is just slop

4/10 but i had fun so that's worth something

i instituted time limits on instagram and twitter and the first time i hit the limit i was immediately upset about the rule

i watched bocchi the rock season 1, with it being the second anime i've started and completed on my own terms (first one being kill me baby like 2-3 years ago)

did not expect to like this show as much as i did, solidly impressed 8/10 (could see myself bumping it up to a 9 later)

oops all bangers in this thread i need to play a game that's worse... but march has been lifted off my shoulders. i have nearly two whole months
