This really bothered me too! Learning all the twists and turns of a region is like learning a monsters moveset. It's engaging and rewarding and I hate that they've tried to QoL it away. I turned the Seikret to full manual and spent ages exploring every region as soon as the game would let me.

I think if each shiny was rolled individually you'd have a 1 in 68719476736 chance of encountering a full shiny Magneton at base odds??
