Forefronting Krypto so much is brilliant marketing, no notes. The animation is gorgeous and the gag of him playing rough is very funny.
It's crazy brave of Gunn and co to be taking such a big swing on SUPERMAN, a character that perfectly straddles being a sure-thing and a guaranteed L. If it makes good profit I'll be more excited than ever about the shape of new DCU but if not Warners is for sure cooked.
Kids really vibing with it is its only chance at the box office because there is clearly no way to market this in a way that appeals to people who just want a pre-Endgame MCU quality/style movie.
Okay a lot of people are going to hate this viscerally. The tone and just what's happening onscreen is so far from every other mainstream live-action superhero movie that many if not most will reject it outright. It's closer to the Incredibles than anything else.

(1) Having 5 issues from a span of 12 years seems a step too far
