Itโs not unusual for radio presenters to share a weather forecast as they switch shifts. Just my luck that Iโm on after The Richard Nixon Morning Zoo.....

Award-winning radio broadcaster. Award-wanting audio producer. Award-losing wannabe writer. Scottish accent. Sarcastic bastard. Team Jacob. "Spike's a nice place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there". https://linktr.ee/Taskerlands

25.08.2025 12:25 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Look, Iโve got no skin in the game really, but I see Amanda Knox approves of the Hulu series about her. No surprises as to what the tone of the series is going to be (hint: sheโs totally innocent and blameless), so much so that thereโs not really a whole lot of point in watching it, is there?
18.08.2025 12:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I really wanted to join two pieces of wood together with a small piece of metal.
I think I totally nailed it.
Iโve got so many bots trying to follow me on here, I feel like the pied piper of Bluesky.

13.08.2025 11:28 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0By now, everyone knows that Michael Jackson did the chorus for Rockwellโs โSomebodyโs Watching Meโ, but hardly anyone praises Alvin And The Chipmunksโ backing work on Jacksonโs slightly troubling โPYTโ.
13.08.2025 10:49 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Recorded two episodes of โVinyl Judgementโ with my son Moss last night. We listened to Joy Divisionโs โUnknown Pleasuresโ, and โThe Best Of Petula Clarkโ back to back.
There should have been a gear crunch, but in fact we both enjoyed the two albums rather a lot!
Good people do exist and practice their magic. This is a longer story featuring a thousand individual acts of kindness, but recently I had every single person in the Walmart automotive department trying to help me when my car conked out. Not for personal gain, just because they cared. It was amazing

I love my job.
Watching an educational film from 1980, starring Little Johnny Cusack. I think he should go for that haircut again, itโs a good look.

Even though weโre at an unbelievable 145% of our target, my sisters and I have extended the end date til the 15th, his birthday.

Literally the best* thing about today.

I used to love those CDs. We ripped off so many generic jingles from them back at hospital radio.

Not a day goes by where I donโt offer a personalised album recommendation to someone who didnโt even ask for it. Sometimes itโs because the person has a specific personality trait that reminds me of something, or it might be entirely situational.
Bet Iโm not alone in doing this.

Anyone else stuck for an unreasonable amount of time in the departure lounge of Glasgow Airport? My flight is in THREE HOURS and all Iโve got to do is eat impossible whoppers and cry.
Come find me and cheer me up for gawdโs sake.
I donโt look good in pictures, I really donโt. My face looks like it was on fire and someone put it out with a rusty shovel.
Yet still, any time someone takes my picture and itโs half decent, I think โis that the one that will be on display at my funeralโฆ? ๐ณ
Thank you so much!

My late Dad wouldnโt have wanted flowers at his funeral. I can guarantee it. Heโd love for you to honour his memory instead with a small donation to an *amazing* cause.
Cheers, faither. Letโs change some lives for the better.
