Honestly I blame persona evolutions being tied to social links. The ways a lot of characters grow aren't allowed to stick since you can't have a spinoff spoil the content that actually sells the games.
Like this one vid on metaphor couldn't fathom how the sanctist church is the Catholic Church or how Louis is Napoleon but went off about how the game isn't "woke or dei"(??????) and how the game hates monotheism cause it's a jrpg.
Missed the whole forest for imaginary weeds.
I've been sick for like 3 weeks so I watched a bunch of video essays to fall asleep and it's weird how they ignore how something in a video is clearly based on real life.
In context p4 was the atlus final fantasy moment where if it flopped they may have been done while p5 was their most explicitly political. IIRC it's the first time you fight a politician that's not possessed or secretly a demon. Both times Atlus was in new grounds, better to take a life jacket.
