I was talking to my coworker about bug taxidermy and told him how I wanted a "rhinoceros beetle pin-up" before realizing that wasn't what the process was called.

A letter to my followers. It reads as thus:

Hey, Swamp Kids.

After months of consideration, I’ve reached the tough decision to go on an indefinite hiatus from all streaming activity, effective immediately.

Unfortunately, with everything else I have going on in my life between working full-time, taking classes part-time, doing what I can to be the best husband and father that I can be, and all my work with Project Open Table, it leaves very little energy or mental well-being to be able to entertain as a Twitch streamer. I don’t wish to end my streaming career with a sour taste in my mouth, so I’m choosing to end it now while I still have a little love for it left.

These past three years have been a whirlwind for me as your Suburban Swamp Dad. The opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, be a part of countless memories, and forge friendships that I never would have been able to otherwise are things that I will be eternally grateful for. Words cannot describe my appreciation and gratitude to my Swamp Kids, regardless if you joined me recently or were there from the very beginning. I’m honored to have been given a little bit of your time, and I’ll cherish this time of my life forever.

I’ll almost certainly still partake in others’ streams, and my campaigns and one-shots will still continue, but only at the Table channels inside the confines of Project Open Table, where the sessions will be much less catered towards entertaining an audience and more towards crafting a story with my players. I’ll also remain active on BlueSky to throw a little bit of fatherly silliness into your feed from time to time and promote the events and goings-on of Project Open Table, which I’ll be mainly focusing the majority of my internet presence towards continuing to build and grow.

Thank you again. All of you. You’ve made a suburban dad from Ohio happier than you could ever hope to know. You’ll always have a seat at your Swamp Dad’s table.
