Some things I like to do: teach RE, run, watch Westerns, write books, listen to Springsteen, sample whisky, follow the Nazarene. https://linkpop.com/andylewisre London Marathon 2025: https://www.justgiving.com/page/andy-lewis-marathon-2025

It was an absolute joy to meet Pope Leo XIV this week in Rome. Papal endorsement for our work at @citizensuk.org - huge thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey. The next steps are already being planned - Catholic schools with community organising at their heart.

28.04.2025 06:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So London Marathon - you were a blast! My 1st marathon, and ~Β£8k raised so far for @cafod.bsky.social
Thanks to friends, family and colleagues for all the encouragement and support: www.justgiving.com/page/andy-le...
Hard to put into words the experience of the day, but memories for a lifetime.
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis. Requiescant in pace. Amen.
21.04.2025 09:31 β π 20 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Huge thanks for all the sponsorship.
Youβve raised an amazing amount for @CAFOD, including the project I worked with in Mekβele, Ethiopia.
The kids, the Daughters of Charity sisters, and the whole Blessed Gebre Michael team will be on my mind as I run.

Iβm in the 11am wave, bib 68628. You can track me on the Marathon 2025 app (accuracy not guaranteed!).
Iβll be wearing the vest + hat in my recent pics if that helps you spot me. Let me know where youβll beβIβll look out!
One week to go!
This time next Sunday Iβll be on the #LondonMarathon courseβwith less than 26.2 miles to go.
Final mid-length run (9 miles) done this morning up and down Windsorβs Long Walk. Trainers broken in, kit tested, people even cheered my nameβgood prep!
Ah thank you! I plan on it. Always want to do it properly so I could enjoy it rather than struggle. I mean it still wonβt be easy, butβ¦
09.04.2025 18:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ah thank you! I had to work out where the footpaths wereβ¦ and following A13 would have been too out of the way. A127 is not a fun runβ¦
09.04.2025 17:59 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I got my running vest printed yesterday: my name on the front, a dedication on the backβto the children of Tigray, Ethiopia, who will always have a place in my heart.

The A127 is sneakily hilly and the last few miles were tough, but I didnβt have to βjeffβ (walk/run) this time. Progress! 3hrs 45mins gave me time to think of all those whoβve sponsored meβthank you. Your support for @cafod.bsky.social really matters.

08.04.2025 10:38 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dear #TeamRE,
Dawnβs partner has shared a heartbreaking update. After a car accident just over a week ago, she suffered terrible injuries.
I know so many in the RE community and wider education community will be upset by the news.
Dawn was always so generous in all that she did.
Rest in peace
Iβm so so sorry Roy. There arenβt any words that will bring comfort at the moment, but know we are all here for you. Keeping you and Dawn in our hearts, and our prayers. ππ½β€οΈ
08.04.2025 08:31 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Our hearts ache too. Thank you for sharing the updates, and please know we are all here for you, and for Dawn.
04.04.2025 19:45 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So many in #TeamRE and the wider #edutwitter community have been shocked to hear about Dawnβs accident.
A fund has been created to support her and her family at this time. It might be something you consider giving to or sharing.
www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding...
Iβm so so sorry to hear this Roy.
Please send her my love and best wishes to Dawn.
Look after yourself, and weβll all do what we can to offer support.
A decent #ashtag for Ash Wednesday
