It was an absolute joy to meet Pope Leo XIV this week in Rome. Papal endorsement for our work at @citizensuk.org - huge thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey. The next steps are already being planned - Catholic schools with community organising at their heart.

One week to go!

This time next Sunday I’ll be on the #LondonMarathon course—with less than 26.2 miles to go.

Final mid-length run (9 miles) done this morning up and down Windsor’s Long Walk. Trainers broken in, kit tested, people even cheered my name—good prep!

Ah thank you! I plan on it. Always want to do it properly so I could enjoy it rather than struggle. I mean it still won’t be easy, but…

Ah thank you! I had to work out where the footpaths were… and following A13 would have been too out of the way. A127 is not a fun run…

The A127 is sneakily hilly and the last few miles were tough, but I didn’t have to “jeff” (walk/run) this time. Progress! 3hrs 45mins gave me time to think of all those who’ve sponsored me—thank you. Your support for @cafod.bsky.social really matters.

The last long run is done. 23 miles—my furthest ever. That’s just a parkrun shy of a marathon. Sitting on the train to Southend (32 mins!) made me realise just how far that actually is…

Sending you lots of love. Dawn was one of a kind. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. 🙏🏽❤️

Dawn’s partner has shared a heartbreaking update. After a car accident just over a week ago, she suffered terrible injuries.

I know so many in the RE community and wider education community will be upset by the news.

Dawn was always so generous in all that she did.
