When you really want to get into a manga because reasons, but the art is SO bad its like being stabbed in the eyes repeatedly. I swear this artist does not know the anatomical differences between teenagers, eight year-olds, and toddlers -- and somehow they expect me to find it cute. It's not.

If you think your handwriting is bad, at least no one's mistaken it for a map of Italy yet.

Someone from Brazil I know tried to order and the shipping charge was $85, which is way more expensive than it should be.

So, it came from Colorado ... who's doing the packing if Milo is still allegedly in Finland and his family is in Kansas? Thanks for answering!

Just When I Thought I Was Out, Milo Pulls Me Back In I’d ask what the fresh hell is all this but that’s an exercise in futility #milowinter #ageofscorpius Current website screenshot Someone brought this up to me, and I just wanted to address it quick…

If you get a physical copy, could you take a photo of where the package was mailed from? Because I have questions, not the least of which is the shipping charge. If you're wondering what I mean, here you go (no paywall). durocsdeskdrawer.ink/2026/01/24/j...

*takes notes* There is no such thing as too much butter, and never enough roast chicken for Napoleon Bonaparte.

Unpopular opinion: America has *never* not been a fascist nation. Whether or not you felt it depended upon your gender, skin color, sexuality, religion, class, and national origin. To pretend otherwise is ahistorical.

Can America still do better? Better to ask: who benefits if not?

Washington: a centralizing nationalist, not a civil-liberties maximalist, who was willing to deploy armed force against civilians (Whiskey Rebellion, 1794) to enforce federal law. And personally invested in property order—including enslaved human property—and deeply hostile to popular disorder.

Readers Don’t Understand Metaphors Anymore … OR, Maybe You Just SUCK at Your Job The Social Contract Between Author and Reader and the Sin of Literary Essentialism #writing #books #literacy Yes, yes it can always get more fucked up I've said it before -- I don't like commenting on other authors' writing styles. Until they use their own writing style to try to advance a persuasive argument and fail on every level. And they do it with 110% confidence.

Maybe it's an autistic thing, but I don't notice themes, morals, or characterization first. Instead, I notice sentence structure. Does the sentence feel spiky, interesting, asymmetrical, the word choices deliberate? If it's not, my eyes just slide right off, my brain reads the sentence as "boring."

Sandwich tonight: Peanut butter and strawberry jam and apricot preserves and blueberries and honey and dismembered Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pie. I don't want to say I'm currently experiencing a sugar rush, but my walls are transparent and I can see through time.

I am now off work for the next three days. Doctor’s orders.

Yes, I work nights and weekends. It’s the only rational schedule.

I also write between 0130 and 0400 while noshing on valerian root, Zzzquil, melatonin, and ashwaganda.

I do not recommend that writing routine.
