i got softer for max/lucy when i watched with my husband bc we got together when we were stupid naive kids, and max/lucy is kind of the same vibe. it's so wholesome

agreed! i have rewatched s1 a couple times and reflected on this. aaron is gorgeous, but the naivete of s1 max (whether real or perceptual) just didn't do it for me? s2 has used its minimal time with him to highlight so many layers and i'm REALLY into a more jaded good-guy maximus

he's bumping up against competencyporn and i love it
