Kira is finally 100% back to her normal (driving me insane with her energy <3) self. The antibiotics seem to have really dealt with the swelling! Vet said we just now need to wait to see if there's a relapse. If there is, its most probably a unseen tooth issue and she will need more tests.

My pen broke after completing this, and I've been having a lot of issues getting a replacement pen and nibs...but hopefully I can use this again soon, I miss it! ;_;

Cartoony dinosaur drawings

Working on new wooden dino charms for upcoming events! I have Baryonyx, Parasaurolophus, Austroraptor, and Tyrannosaurus rex so far! (Some of these were drawn a long time ago, or with a bit more time to spare. So the style isn't super consistent. But that's OK!)

What would people like to see next?

I still think his previous works (Dinotopia which I have also collected, & his other instructional works) are insanely valuable on their merits. But Gurney is a good example of the fact we need to stop holding these older established artists on a pedestal. They have no loss in this game, & know it

That response was from yesterday btw. & he has multiple blogs and quotes solidifying his stance that he is pro-people using it.
We need to reject this flip floppy stance and be solid in our support against this unethical tech. & this is coming from someone who has loved his work since childhood.

Sadly he's been like this for a good while. And has mentioned before that he is comfortable and safe from it's ill effects. So he sadly has displayed a very "On the fence, pros and cons" kind of attitude which I can not get behind. It shows a distinct lack of care about what its doing to his peers.

From all the blogs I have read by him on the topic. He often likes to play the fence sitter indeed. And it's not a position I can respect when we are in this stage of damage to our community, that this shitty tech has done.

Eh, he's being writing stuff in support for it's use (be it casual or not) for years now. I am not convinced he cares much still.

Oh he knows. This is not new for him. He's had plenty of time and discussions to realise how bad this tech is. He chose to support it over his peers.

Exactly. I mean shit the artist a flew all the way to NZ to see at a workshop years back. Who I always admired for his work. Is now posting AI video slop of his art. And it just killed my enthusiasm for his projects ive followed for years immediately! Its just all so exhausting to witness.

Unfortunately he's been pretty pro-AI for a good while. Its so sad to see influential artists throw away their credibility at breakneck speed. Seems to be a common trend with many older or established men atm (usually job secure or retired). Ive lost respect for so many artists i used to look up to.
