YouTube video by Bruce Springsteen
Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Minneapolis (Official Audio)
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. Itβs dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

The City That Protected Trans People's Rights in 1975
Fifty years ago this month, Minneapolis passed an anti-discrimination law so forward-thinking that much of the U.S. is still catching up.
Remarkable story about Minneapolis's progressive roots. It was the first city to pass a trans-inclusive non-discrimination ordinance, in 1975.
But this part hurts: "Fifty years later, the United States still lacks similar protections on a federal level."

The 'Stork Sisters' Saving a Species on the Brink
A young student set out to protect an endangered local bird. Two decades later, Dr. Purnima Devi Barman has built a 20,000-strong army of women conservationists.
What a hopeful, affirming story about how one person really can make a difference. 20 years ago, one student set out to save greater adjutant storks. Now, she leads an army of 20,000 women conservationists, and the stork population is ticking up. Incredible.
