Can't believe that the US political party that was OK with capitulating to committing genocide is OK with capitulating to fascism, nobody could've seen this coming

The idea that US standing globally plummeted with that White House meeting is hilarious. It plummeted to "openly genocidal apartheid evil" over the last two years globally. That meeting just got it to plummet in the remaining like 25 Western countries that used to have shared interests with the US.

Saw a tik tok recently in which Gill Scott-Heron explained what he meant by "the revolution will not be televised". It is a liberal idiom pointing to change simply coming from within individuals. Reminds me of the third verse of J Cole's "High for Hours"

The revolution will be televised.

"The UAE and Saudi Arabia" - which are both heavily involved in arming for the killing in Sudan "are positioning themselves to benefit from the fallout of the war."

Boycott the UAE. Boycott Saudi Arabia.

Vance defending free speech in Europe while suppressing free speech at home is the same as Lord Cromer, in the late 19th/early 20th C. telling Egyptians about the rights of women whilst being president of the Men’s League for Opposing the Suffrage of Women’ at home.

Coloniality applied in Europe.

Me in 1999: “That South Park movie was wacky, imagining an American imperialism so deranged that they decide to invade Canada in a crusade of censorship. 😂”

Me in 2025: 😐

Oh that is a scathing review! I throughly enjoyed Mishra’s “From the Ruins of Empire” (Age of Anger less so) so was hoping this would be a good intervention.

"The halftime show was boring."

Look, you may not be familiar with the genius of Kendrick Lamar and couldn't quite hear the lyrics and don't know the backstory and the symbolism went over your head, but trust me when I say you'll want to read an analysis of it and rewatch. A true masterpiece.
