was terrific to have John McGowan presenting today on our Professional Supervision module at Stirling Uni, talking about the reflective supervision research work and reflective supervision guide produced with Prof Ravalier. This is important and impactful work @swu-uk

Dear @bsky.app,

Could you please consider allowing locked accounts?

Many of us in the mental health, traumatised, and disabled communities have very good reasons for needing private accounts.

Without this option, a hierarchy emerges in who gets to access your space.

Thank you so very much,
Jay

What a psychiatric diagnosis means – and what it doesn’t mean | Psyche Ideas With stigma and misunderstanding surrounding mental health, it’s vital to know the benefits and limits of a formal diagnosis

I wrote about psychiatric diagnosis for Psyche magazine β€” what it means & what it doesn’t mean. If you are looking for a no-nonsense general intro to diagnosis in mental healthcare or you are grappling with your own diagnosis, this is the piece for you.

Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos. A better alternative is StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform. And before y’all start, you can transfer all your Goodreads data to Storygraph so you literally have no excuse.

Thread for those new to BlueSky. First of all, welcome. It feels like a safer space, doesn’t it? But also perhaps a bit disorienting initially? Here’s some tips for getting your bearings.
