Regardless whether or not VP James Bowman's joke was funny (it was not), it is also punching down.

By attacking a Congresswoman (she has nothing to do with the speech), and by mispronouncing her last name, it is below the office he holds. That's particularly why it's so uncomfortable.

This is straight up totalitarian SH*T. I spent my whole life, especially my childhood, being told this would NEVER happen in America. Presidents are not above the law, they serve the people.

Yet, here we are. Which impeachable crime will be enough, Democrats?
