Sometimes I go to a specific site for a particular ancient, veteran or notable tree, but I always take photos of trees whenever I’m walking through woods & forests.

Very much enjoyed the Jaws @ 50 documentary. Some of my favourite moments were hearing Robert Shaw talking about the film. Shaw spent his childhood at school in Truro and went to school with my husband's father. He used to tell us stories about Shaw paying him money to do his homework.

The Tomorrow People was a great 1970’s TV series. It was about a group of children and young adults born with powers. They strive to protect earth from earth bound and alien menaces, whilst keeping their own existence a secret.

A showing of #Threads on BBC4 tonight for those of you who have managed to escape it thus far.

I seem to have inadvertently attracted some of the best minds when it comes to TV music. Yes, that almost certainly means you. Could you help me with a childhood memory? Bear in mind this is something I saw once, 40 years ago, so there will be some wrong details in there.

Just an idea: can't we keep the refugees and deport these people instead? This is the contingent that protests today about 'keeping our kids safe' while previously seen setting fire to hotels housing refugees and their children.

In the garden today: dragonflies pre-date the dinosaurs. The nymph lives underwater. On the appointed day, it climbs up a plant stem, swallows air to pump up its body, breaks out of its exoskeleton (top right) and spreads its wings. It’s an ancient miracle. I’ve sat here today and watched it happen.
