From what I've seen, this is a Californian phenomenon. Nobody in a normal, crab-fearing state would view coffee as a dating thing. Unless explicitly made to be so.
Movies and TV are at fault for this!!! Nobody wants to tango after coffee but every cop TV show has them romancing over coffee!!! Coffee gives people the shits!!! This is coffee propoganda!!!
