Hela falling out of the meta and Loki rising up has paved the way for tempo destroy to feel much better positioned!
As a long time Bucky and Deathstrike fan the deck feels quite powerful and uncle ben has been a great addition for moving cards around + giving more destroy food.
With just over half the event left, here’s my Ultimate Guide for Sanctum Showdown.
Of course, I’m mostly concerned with the resource management side of things.
1/ 🧵⤵️
Aero losing a point is a little sad but she is still great in Scream and prob fine in Hela. I think the Surtur Scream hybrid might still work but will be worse obviously.
Happy to see Surtur and Skaar hit, those cards were just bad design mistakes.
Lizard + White Queen W
The crazy thing is i think it might still be playable even post nerf, but only time will tell
"I'm doing my part"
I really dislike arishem so I enjoyed these games
Do your part to end Arishem in Conquest ✊️

Taking today off Streaming, will be back tomorrow but in the meantime here are some neat decks to try out with the OTA changes! Lizard fans rejoice! 🦎
Early post patch deck impressions:
✅ Bounce, Hela, Afflict, Doom, Scream
❌ Surtur Skaar
3 hours into Sanctum and I've lost maybe 5 times with this deck total.
Cannonball shouldn't be legal, I imagine he will catch a ban either later in the event or for the next one.
Scream is just too good at what the mode wants you to do, and helps counter Sam who is very popular.
Mobius and Speed are the flex spots here.
Valk can take Surtur gamers by surprise when they think Armor is keeping them safe.
I had another 6 for a bit as another Wiccan payoff but it felt better using less expensive cards overall.
Swan helps weave in the stones more easily.
Joaquin has been a tough sell in a lot of decks, he’s a decent bounce card but not a must have to play it.
This is the one place outside of bounce I’ve liked him a lot. Instead of going for 1 drop value we just make our stones draw 2. Helps get big Thanos + free bird often.
kingpin
Day 1 Infinite ♾ down!
I played mainly Scream 😱 decks which both felt very strong and versatile, as well as a throwback with SasBird since Cap's Shield 🛡️ basically unnerfs Mockingbird 🐦!
Sam Wilson 🗽🇺🇸 felt really good and I expect him to see play in a good variety of decks.
Darkrai is easily in my top 3 Pokemon they added, so very happy this came together as I envisoned it!
Not sure on Cape/Helmet (but I only have the one of each anyway) but the rest feels great to play.
Weezing does chip damage, Weavile lands finishing hits and Darkrai can snipe from the bench
Does this mean Luna Snow is now a must buy? No. But she's fun and worth trying out. Very replaceable in Thanos with other good 3s. A little harder to replace in ramp but still doable.
Here are twos deck I've been enjoying post OTA.
The Blink list def appreciates the extra points, Mobius is there to help vs Discard/Iron Patriot/Negative.
Destroy Thanos is from Fanta, it looks like a pile but feels surprisingly decent? It's also just super fun to play!
metal bros rise!
skarmory our saviour is here and they brought Dialga along with them
I am still missing one cape, i might drop an X Speed for second Cape. Skarmory on 1 with a Tool is huge and often delays enough for Melmetal all alone, nevermind that gigantic scaling machine you can get going
First god pack acquired at 4560 cards collected ✨🤩
maybe typhoid mary, she was in here pre ares
Ended up liking Ares in the new Iron Sauron shell quiet a bit, and its def going to get a bonus boost today from the hot location too!
yeah i think it can work there
Early impressions of Ares:
Fine card, good in Surtur Skaar but not a massive upgrade.
I think there could be some potential for him elsewhere (Wiccan, Sauron, Supergiant) but I didn’t get to test those yet.
My advice is unless you’re a Surtur super fan wait and see for now.
Hasty Review ⏲️
Very uninspiring card, but above average.
The Skaar deck dominated scraped it from @zombiesgonomnom.bsky.social
The Mill deck i adapted from Fudge's (elephantfudge on twitch) annoying mill deck, mainly because i needed something else to play

This season I’ve been trying to optimize control decks and these two are my best performing decks this season. If you enjoy tech based decks, you will beat most of the matchups out there with these lists.
Wowie! Here’s my analysis of the compensation:
It’s big — one hell of a way to kick off “a new era in MARVEL SNAP”! 🔥
(I love that phrase, btw)
“a new era” 😌
It’s electric! ⚡️
I hope it means good things for the future of Snap.
Alright, onto the math… 1/8⤵️
Up 50 SP this morning with Ajax while clearing out my daily’s.
Affliction is still a very strong archetype even in spite of the recent nerfs to it, plus it greatly appreciates less Cage around.
Like I’ve been saying all week Mobius is the 🐐 tech of choice rn.
Felt like taking the hammer bros out for a spin this morning and it went surprisingly well!
Mobius is super powerful tech vs all the swarms and negatives running around and this deck can go super tall numbers wise you just have to be mindful about tech cards.
Still messing around with weird Bullseye brews and this one has been super fun!
We get the power of going wide with Zoo using Shanna, Kazar, and Mockingbird while also being able to bounce squirrels, Hoods, and Shanna cards for Bullseye ammo!
Been having fun making use of the new Mirage variant and I really like this kind of shell for Victoria + Iron Patriot.
It’s kinda like a hybrid of card gen + afflict stuff with Lady D acting as powerful tech and an important answer to Luke Cage.
Rocket and Groot is performing well as expected, it’s just a generically good card that works in a lot of decks.
I’ve liked it here in the small ball Havok deck personally.
Worth noting there is a bug rn where if opponent has Luke Cage out it wont gain any power.
Got a nice Sunspot split today so broke out the She Hulk shenanigans and it went really well!
Throw prio going into T6 and then pop off with Hulks, Monkeys and some high impact 1 drops!
