So another thing I was curious about and answered for myself last night: You can nest habitats inside of block houses! So if you're like me, and want to give Pokemon their preferred habitats AND houses, you can do that. Can also probably get more of them in one house this way?
Yeah I noticed it a couple days back! It's cool how the town layouts are different, but the key aspects of the region (where the routes start, where the S.S. Anne is, etc.) are generally still where they usually are.

You see this? This is from a kit you get at lvl 8 comfort level around there. Don't be me. Don't refuse to clean up the very clearly designated area for it, and plant it in the center of the space like an asshole. This isn't a building; I have to manually move all this now.

Turns I restarted my playthrough AT THE END. So I pretty much played through the entire game twice. And it was fun both times, which is saying a lot for someone like me. Great game! It feels like it should've been one or two areas bigger? Otherwise, pretty much zero real complaints.

You can also buy recipes from Cloud Island PCs that you can carry over into your save as well. Items from Cloud Islands won't come over, but recipes do, so it's probably worth checking the PC store on a Cloud Island once in a while. Though it may affect natural gameplay progression.
Another really useful tip: If you go to your Palette Town, you can appraise Relics you have from the PC menu, and it's a lot quicker than talking to Tangrowth directly. Also, visiting a Cloud Island will let you get a second stamp for the day on your stamp card. Don't know if that stacks.
I really like that the game has it built in where you can just build underneath where you're staying by pointing straight down with the camera too!
By the by, if you move the Pikachu doll one space towards the straw bed in the coastal area, it makes a habitat. I've noticed on my second playthrough that a bunch of areas in Pokopia are one nudge away from making habitats.
Could just be coincidence, but on my new run, when I made a habitat for Magmortar in both Vermillion and Pewter (in that order) he showed up in Pewter- where Magmar lives. In my 1st playthrough I only built it in Vermillion. I wonder if the game weighs certain zones differently for certain Pokemon?
Yeah it's pretty much just a difference in tone and loudness.
