Best thing at Yomiuriland is Bandit though, just a giant Togo terrain twister with a forceful helix and dives into the valley over PokePark
An inverted space coaster sponsored by a Vitamin D medicine? Sure, why not. Alex tried asking for one thinking it was a drink.
In another building was Splash UFO, a ramen themed raft ride that had interactive buttons onboard. The raft is a ramen bowl and going up the conveyer lift was like being on the assembly line, I mean come on that’s amazing. And there was some evil guy trying to eat us? It was 40° but we still rode it
Yomiuriland had a few large indoor attractions! One of which was Spin Runway, a spinning coaster with a dark ride section and a spiral lift hill themed to fabric! Some of the spools were actually projection mapped characters too
Who needs pikachu when you have Land Dog? He’s the best!! Even has his own marshmallow for Dippin Dots, I got the apple soda dots.
Japanese pancake technology is lightyears ahead of us. Also, here’s a Darth Vader shogun because why not.
Look at PokePark’s cute themed trash cans though with charizard for combustibles and *insert grass Pokémon* for plastic bottle recycling. For reference, here’s how other parts of the park sort the trash.
The time has come!!! To not go to PokePark Kanto because the reservations are fully booked. That didn’t stop me from saying hi to my boy Pikachu though. You needed a ticket to PokePark to get into their gift shop too, they’re really keeping merch exclusive.
We had a day pass so after go karts we went back for some Thunder Dolphin night rides! The trains are a little weird, it’s a mix between an Intamin hyper train like Millennium Force with the over the head lapbar restraints on Velocicoaster.
I was hesitant about go karting through the streets of Japan, but it was actually a lot of fun! I wasn’t expecting to go full throttle on the road, the stoplights were actually a nice time to look around at all of the lovely buildings, and we drove through Shibuya Scramble Square
Janky little coaster for sure, definitely hold on so your knees don’t get smashed on those really quick brakes at the end. Also, at the end the coaster goes through someone’s house! A fake one, but there’s some funny expressive figures inside.
After going down some escalators, you’ll find yourself at the indoor coaster Back Daaan! Spoilers, but it has a better mid-ride station fakeout than the Mummy because you go back into the same station you left, just facing the wrong way, then you get launched backwards and do the full course again.
It’s so weird having an Intamin coaster in the middle of Tokyo but I’m not complaining, Thunder Dolphin was fun! Also known as Dolphin Force
Hanayashiki reminded me of Indiana Beach if it was in the city with all of the rides stacked on top of each other
First coaster of the trip was the oldest coaster in Japan at Hanayashiki which opened in 1953
Quick visit to Senso-ji temple and the Hozomon gate, the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan
I don’t care if there were only tourists waiting for this tiny place, the soufflé pancakes were great. Light, bouncy, and not overly sweet
I do!
First eki stamp! Almost forgot my bag at the ticket counter
It’s tough to do but does help reset yourself!
Pretending I’m @bioreconstruct.bsky.social with some aerial photos from the plane. Epic Universe is super zoomed in but you can still make things out. Looks like a nice day at Epcot too!
Punch in the Face sounds like the Pedro Pascal special
Time to fly! I’m finally getting excited for Japan, I’ve just been so emotionally stuck in the work loop. Also, why is Terminal C playing Stacy’s Mom? Is this the best song we have to share with international tourists?
Springtime at Walt Disney World
This is all amazing, just the amount of detail I needed! We’ll be doing two days so won’t have to be in thattt big of a rush.
Anyone have a Tokyo DisneySea itinerary guide or tips? I think it’s best to start at Fantasy Springs, but beyond that idk.
I only get to hit this button twice a year, the time has come
Ah I was expecting a silly answer
Who’s the second?
How many folks live on the island?
