À l’occasion de la Journée internationale des droits des femmes, RFI a mis en lumière la persistance d’un frein judiciaire en Côte d’Ivoire, le certificat médical pour viol. Théoriquement non obligatoire pour déposer plainte, il est pourtant fréquemment exigé par les forces de l’ordre dans la pratique, et demeure une preuve décisive devant les tribunaux. Coûtant 50 000 FCFA, ce document est prohibitif pour de nombreuses victimes, comme en témoigne une jeune esthéticienne de 21 ans violée en janvier, qui n’a pu réunir la somme qu’en se cotisant avec sa famille. Sans ce certificat, les plaintes stagnent souvent, et certaines survivantes se rétractent, explique Karelle Kouadio, de l’Association des femmes juristes de Côte d’Ivoire. Face à cette situation, les organisations féministes et les centres d’accueil comme Akwaba-Mousso appellent l’État à agir : subventionner le certificat médical, l’intégrer à la couverture maladie universelle, et former/sensibiliser les gendarmes et policiers pour lever ces barrières administratives et rendre la justice plus accessible. Fin 2025, le ministère de la Femme, de la Famille et de l’Enfant a reconnu que les efforts restaient insuffisants et annoncé le lancement prochain d’un projet pilote de six mois, en partenariat avec le Réseau des médecins volontaires de Côte d’Ivoire, pour délivrer gratuitement ces certificats aux survivantes de violences sexuelles. Malgré des avancées législatives passées (circulaires de 2016 rappelant que la plainte ne dépend pas du certificat), la situation évolue lentement, laissant de nombreuses victimes sans accès effectif à la justice. _**Avec rfi**_
