Great concert last night at St Mary’s Jubilate an Oxford Chamber Choir celebrating 30 years of making music.

St Mary’s Church # Shrewsbury 13 June at 7 pm. Coming soon is this event Marco Cannavo and Steven Tyler will play medieval instruments dressed in authentic costumes. The roof of St Mary’s Church built in the 1400’s has carved angels playing a selection of medieval instruments from this time period.

Christmas in #Shrewsbury at the most wonderful time of the year.

The rain couldn’t dampen the Christmas mood in #Shrewsbury at last night’s Christmas Carol event in the Square.
They really were ‘Singing in the Rain’.

Fish Street in Shrewsbury, dates back to medieval times, named for the fishmongers who sold their fish part of Kings Market around St. Alkmund's Church from the 1200s. The Charter of Henry III (1256) granted market rights to Shrewsbury, outlining the establishment and regulation of local markets.

Redeveloping a Tudor building with difficult access presents unique challenges but also opportunities to enhance its value and usability.
Mixed-use comes to mind residential, restaurants, cafes, a wedding venue.

Rowleys house is such an important building, it was built by Roger Rowley. He was a wool merchant. The house was built in the late 1500s. The brick Mansion was built by his son in 1618. It is believed to be the earliest brick building in Shrewsbury.

Did you know if you go upstairs in the Library, you can catch a glimpse of the graffiti made by schoolboys from long ago.
