Hello, so my crappy retail job is looking to can me most likely or cut my hours in that I'm basically unemployed.
I am a visual designer with experience in app development, marketing and some video. I also have a decent grasp on programming.
You can view my range of skill on my website below.
They're planes with a scrolling noise texture on their surface, and there's a trigger box beneath them that applies an underwater audiovisual effect on the player's character controller.

yeah! I also first played them before getting into game dev, and they were some of the first exposure I had that games could be these kind of small digital space to explore and exist in. been wanting to make my own collection of strange spaces ever since
if I had just a few more spaces, I'd also really like to add Stalker: SOC, Dishonored and Kitty Horrorshow's Haunted Cities collections
so many more I'd like to add, but these felt like the most direct influences
a few favorites
π«Ά thank you Carrie!! π

thank you! I've not played 2142 myself so I'm not sure which mech exactly that is, but mechanical designs from 2142 in general were an inspiration :)
thx <3
literally stopped writing this midway through because I decided to grab a snack π
I had no apetite whatsoever in the first half-year on hrt and got a bit underweight, but in the last few weeks things seem to have finally reversed to the point where I'm just always hungry and eating
nom nom nom
yeah I'm not really good at applying it either, I ended up getting help from a family member :)
forgot to post it last week, but got my nails done for the first time ^-^
I wrote about Marathon (2026) again, trying to figure out why it pushed me to tears.

When I went to Tehran in 2018 for a game conference I hung out with game nerds, music weirdos, and queer folks with tattoos and colored hair, just like I do here. We got vegetarian food and watched goofy uncles play basketball in the park. I sure hope they can live to see a better day.
Appreciate it! I'll definitely keep coming back to it because I don't think it's a world I can stay away from, but I'm also just a very singleplayer kinda gal at the end of the day π
Sretan roΔendan!!!
Marathon has me feeling a bit torn. I'm so drawn in by its world design, visual flourishes, the ways the narrative is picking up threads from previous games, but the competitive side is a bit too difficult and stressful for me... I really hope that a PvE mode comes out eventually.

one of my favourite genres of CS map: "local landmark that is deeply iconic to someone else but completely unrecognisable to me"
(Chateau Frontenac hotel in Quebec)
Exploring the world of Angeline Era was one of my favorite game experiences of the last year, so it's deligthful to have a write-up on the design philosophy behind it (and I'm certainly taking notes ^-^)
Shout out to @cdsart.bsky.social for illustrating the book so magnificently.
