Excellent.The crucial message to take from all this is if you're allowed to vote then go out and vote, make sure you exercise the right, the precious right to vote free from fear. If you think the politicians can't make a difference for you still go out and vote: by voting you keep democracy alive.

Its odd when oeople hate other people from other countries as we had this Empire and Commonwealth citizens of the British empire, they fought in wars with us and they are our brothers and sisters ! The ignorance and arrogance of ( mostly) the English astounds me.

This shit is rife. I was talking to a Slovakian immigrant the other day who was arguing that immigrants and people of immigrant descent shouldn't gain political office in the UK because they 'Weren't British'. When I dug further, it turned out she was only referring to non-white people.

What gets me is that Jenrick a) thinks he knows what being 'British' is & b) assumes he's 'integrated' a) being British isn't 1 thing but many b) Most people don't live like Jenrick - he's the outlier, not them. He & Bandenoch have no experience how ordinary people live as they've never lived it

This is so true! There were those who thought like Jenrick and Farage when I was at school 50 years ago. They were out of date then, and they're out of date now. If just "being white" is your identity, you have no identity. Wanting England to be "just white" is like wanting a stew with no seasoning.
