At the moment I’m seeing lots of beautiful lighting, but no owls :(. Might try a different route home tomorrow and chance my luck.

Common Tern with fish in flight across the lake, with green reflections cast on the water from the trees and reeds nearby.

Thank you ☺️. It was a bit of a challenge getting the right position as the light was so strong as it came up and over the lake, but I was pleased with the result.

Thanks Helen. They’re lovely and you’re so lucky to hear them. Whenever I’ve heard them I’ve never been able to get an image because of lack of light or the dense foliage.
My LEO was very much a case of being in the right place at the right time and zero skill ok my part 😂

It was -7°C that day and even though the sun was out to help it warm up, it still didn’t seem impressed.

Oh- and most actual pros I know hate most social media and have very few followers even if they do use it. They’re good and don’t need the algorithm/social media feedback to keep producing their work. Foto app is another good place without the slave to the algorithm model.

I’m not a pro (everyone knows that😂) But I also don’t have much new content or time to post here for other reasons. But I will be back more regularly when I can.

X/threads just thrive on negative posts. I liked threads to start with- now I rarely open it because it’s all doom posts with photographers slagging each other off.

Oh interesting. My take- they’re slogging it out on Facebook/ Instagram trying to appease their Meta overlords and don’t have time to engage with BlueSky.
Meta is ‘do this’ ‘do that’ & oh and ‘we’re scrapping hashtags’ so no one can find you, ‘post a reel’. ‘Post another reel’ ‘turn around 3 times’

He’s a narcissist - plain and simple. He shows us every time who he really is.

Even AI beings don’t get enough sleep- just look at those bags under its eyes.
