Typically a bot operation of this magnitude would be totally unreasonable and irrational use of resources and power, thats most of the reason why it wasnt seen before. Of course now with computing being propped up by the trillions, they have not a single qualm at all about doing it!! They benefit.

Maybe an even more direct way to see this is to compare the amount of bot dms requests you get on twitter compared to real ones n.n all those bots you see already networked with your account. The moment you got a bot dm the first time, you're part of the system of fake numbers now.

Yes for sure. As the total follower amount gets bigger, so does the % of bots followers, it goes in a vicious circle >w<;; more numbers = more bot activity. Accounts with millions of followers i would estimate are more like 1% real.. if even that. The bigger the number the more hard it is to prove.

People who are still there say "my numbers are better than ever! More favs than ever!! Why would i move to a place with less activity." And that is very interesting isn't it. They have a sense of reality and social standing that is bound to a number that can be controlled directly by the platform.

If a post has 18,600 favs, gets reduced to 1,860. A person with 50k followers will have about 5000 real followers. I wish people could realize the numbers over there make no sense. A platform bleeding users for years and filled with hate is NOT getting better metrics by the day >w<!!

Twitter is in such a sorry state with bots >w< i think people completely underestimate how many bots accounts are on Twitter. Its so bad than when viewing twitter accounts for analytic research, we now reduce all numbers from twitter by a 10 magnitude. This actually leads to numbers that make sense.
