Kris Dreemurr and Susie from Deltarune are hanging out. Susie is trying to compliment Kris on how well they play the Piano but doesn't know what someone who can play the piano is called. Kris tells her the term is "pianist", but she "misinterprets" what they say a "penis" and loses her mind. Kris decides not to correct her, knowing full well she's going to tell everyone they're a penis.

Susie brags to her friends about Kris' ability to play the piano. But instead of saying they're a "pianist", she calls them a "penis". Noelle and Berdly are shocked and confused by this, while Ralsei may just wither away and die from having that kind of word said in front of him... He sheds a tear out of sheer pain.

Ralsei tries his best to calmly explain to Susie on the proper term for a pianist and fails miserably. It's impossible to tell if she genuinely thinks the term is "penis" or if she's being difficult on purpose and is using it as an excuse to say penis as often as she wants without consequence.

In the Dark World, Kris, Susie, and Ralsei come across a stained-glass illustration of piano keys with the word "PENIS." hanging above it, heavily implying that the prophecy knew Susie was going to interpret Kris as a "penis" instead of a "pianist". Susie feels validated and tells Ralsei she's been right the whole time. Kris and the SOUL perpetuate this by agreeing with her in unison. Ralsei finally, begrudgingly, admits defeat...

Hyamara diz: “Quero agradecer a Secretaria da Cultura de Novo Hamburgo pela oportunidade, e pra meus amigues e família pelo apoio!”

No quadro seguinte, Hyamara diz: “Gostei bastante de fazer esse projeto; tomara, que, no futuro, eu possa retomar ele!” Mas, mais baixinho, diz: “Mas a pausa vai me fazer bem kkk”. Está com os braços estendidos na frente do corpo, com os olhos arregalados e sorrindo, com olheiras profundas, e suando, cansado. Sua gata está pulando em sua cabeça, vindo de cima em um borrão com a velocidade. Hyamara, com sua gata sob a sua cabeça sorrindo, também sorri, e faz uma pose – a mão virada para baixo com o símbolo de paz e amor (mão cerrada e os dedos indicador e médio estendidos); o outro braço na cintura; e as pernas flexionadas, e uma delas estendida. In the next panel, Hyamara says: “I have enjoyed making this a lot, and hopefully in the future I can get back to it someday!” and then, in a whisper, “the break will do me good though lol”. They have their arms hanging in front of their body, with wide open eyes and dark circles under them, and smiles. They’re sweating, tired. Their cat jumps towards their head, coming from above, in a speedy blur. Hyamara, now with their cat on their head, smiling, also smiles and makes a pose - the hand turned downwards with the peace and love sign (a closed hand with the pointer and middle fingers extended); the other arm in their waist; and their legs flexed, but one of them extended. The pose is a reference to a meme where a cat is making the peace and love sign. Hyamara says: “For low and zero visibility people, this comic will release fully in itch, gumroad and ISSUU with audiodescription! Please share if you have anyone in your life with low visibility that enjoys comics!”

Hyamara, now with their eyes wide open and mouth in a “o” shape, surprised, frantically points towards the center of the panel - their cat does the same. There are zoom lines for emphasis. In the center of the panel is a montage of scenes with two characters - a blonde white woman, with a long hair that extends to the ground, with a robotic mask in their face; and another person who has brown skin and black hair. The two are in scenes about to kiss, or fighting. Hyamara says: “If you want to support me, my socials are below the logo!! And watch out for my next fantasy LGBTQ comic, inspired by Utena, All Girls Are Moths! Coming out…” And in a whisper, “soon… at some point this year lol” Hyamara then waves happily at the reader, one leg up in the air, while their cat still smiles on their head, and flowers come out from both of them. Em seguida, outro comentário: “com temas mais sérios, o estilo artístico muda”. Ainda com rascunhos muito simplificados e rabiscados, mas um pouco mais detalhados e com as proporções mais realistas, há alguns rascunhos de algumas das tirinhas mais sérias de Verdades da Meia-Noite.

Hyamara comenta ainda: “Mas dá pra variar um pouco. O estilo é definido para facilitar o processo do quadrinho. Mas ele pode, e deve, ter variações.” Em seguida, há alguns rascunhos de quadros específicos onde o estilo artístico ficou mais diferente do definido. Hyamara finaliza, entre parênteses: “Gostaria de agradecer todos que me apoiaram nesse processo, especialmente:”

No quadro seguinte, três pessoas sorridentes estão sob um fundo colorido de amarelo, verde e vermelho. A primeira pessoa é uma mulher branca com um suéter e calça jeans, cabelo levemente ondulado e castanho escuro. Com as mãos (e uma delas com uma aliança de casamento) segura uma câmera fotográfica. Em seus ombros está uma gata marrom e branca de olhos fechados. Hyamara explica: “minha irmã, a voz da audiodescrição;”. A segunda pessoa é uma mulher branca com um vestido rosa com detalhes amarelos e azuis, cabelo liso e castanho e um colar preto no pescoço. Com as mãos, segura uma bengala branca com detalhes vermelhos. Usa um óculos escuro. Ao redor de seus ombros estão algumas notas musicais. Hyamara explica: “Aline, revisora da imagem e áudio descrições em português”. A terceira e última pessoa é uma mulher branca, mais gorda, que possui cabelo curto e castanho claro, óculos e olhos azuis. Ela tem um pouco de barba no queixo. Veste uma regata branca, bermuda verde e uma joelheira preta. Está segurando uma bengala branca com detalhes em azul, e em seu ombro, está o personagem Shadow da franquia de jogos Sonic. Hyamara explica: “e Ocean, revisora da imagem descrição em inglês!”

Abaixo, está a introdução de outra tira, com o título: “perguntas e respostas”. Hyamara está à direita no quadro, e aponta para baixo, na próxima tira, com uma mão, sorrindo. Diz: “Ninguém comentou no webtoon ou tapas, patético, mas eu ganhei perguntas de amigos e leitores no insta, então aqui vai:” No próximo quadro, um título sobre um quadrado preto diz: “Pergunta: quais são suas inspirações?”. Dentro do quadro, três personagens estão sobre um fundo amarelo aquarelado. A primeira personagem tem cabelo rosa comprido; os dois outros personagens estão virados um para o outro. A segunda personagem tem cabelo preto e médio, e o terceiro personagem tem cabelo curto e barba. No quadro seguinte, um título sobre um quadrado preto diz: “rascunhos de tira”, em caixa alta. Abaixo há vários rascunhos feitos no mspaint, programa do Windows, de algumas das tirinhas cômicas de Verdades da Meia-Noite. Essas tirinhas estão muito simplificadas e rabiscadas, característica que fica evidente por ter sido feito nesse programa. Um comentário de Hyamara explica: “gosto de rascunhar no paint.”

In the surface of the grave is a drawing of Hyamara’s clothes - the white shirt with the strawberry and the blue pants - and it says: “rip in peace”. In the next panel, a title over a black square says: “question one: what drove you to create such a webcomic? Question two: also, are you launching it soon?”. To the left are two excel spreadsheets shaking with all the movement. Hyamara replies: “Good question lmao… I think it would be something with organization or management… Or cat sitter lol! I already do that sometimes!” In the next panel, a title over a black square says: “question: what inspires you to pick the topic of each strip?” In the panel, Hyamara managed to catch the gray cat, and with it in hands, they start to think, and a thought bubble surges beside them, where inside, small little strips with the scenes that just occurred show up. Hyamara replies: “Well… daily life! And also stupid tweets I made. I had some of them sketched before I started doing this comic, yeah”.

In the next panel, a title over a black square says: “question: how often does your cat interfere with work on the comics?” In the panel, Hyamara’s black and white cat, Guria, is standing in front of their computer monitor (which says work) and the at says: “lap”, in all caps. Hyamara explains, in the narration: “Most of the time”, and there’s a heart beside this. “I lie, she just likes to go on my lap, otherwise she will just chill!” In the next panel, a title over a black square says: “question: what got you interested in making comics?” Inside the panel, a child Hyamara, with a fringe and short hair, reads a green comic with a small Monica, from Monica’s Gang, in the back cover. This small Hyamara mumbles, “carai foda”, which translates to “wow so cool” in portuguese. Hyamara answers, in the narration: “Comics got me interested in making comics! I’ve always seen some bangers from others and I was like, “Man I wanna try that”, so I did…”

In the next panel, a title over a black square says: “question: what is your favorite part and the hardest part of making Midnight Truth Time?” Inside the panel are two drawn emojis. One of them has a very exaggerated expression of anger, the mouth even leaves the limits of the face of the emoji. The other is an emoji with x’s for eyes, as if dead, and there is a bucket putting the yellow color inside of the emoji, referencing the bucket tool from digital art softwares. Hyamara explains: “My fave part is doing the stupid expressions, they always amuse me!! Least fave part is coloring, because I gotta make it quick”. The last phrase ends with the symbol of a broken heart. In the next panel, a title over a black square says: “question: do you have a favorite Midnight Truth Time strip?” Inside the panel is a fanart of the anime Dungeon Meshi, made by Hyamara. There are two characters, Marcille and Falin, about to kiss. Contrary to the style of the strips, this drawing is more realistic in its proportions and has many colors, light and shadow, and noisy textures. There is an annotation in Hyamara’s handwriting that says: “usual art style”. Hyamara explains: “I think the ones with Guria, and the ones that get a bit more serious in tone, it’s more similar to my usual art style so it is generally more fun for me,” and then lower, “though they take more time”, and then orz, which is a typing emoji that symbolizes a person, sad, in all fours.

Following that, another comment: “with more serious themes, the art style changes”. Below are some of the more serious strips of Midnight Truth Time, also very simplified and scribbled, but slightly more detailed and with more realistic proportions.

Hyamara comments: “But you can mix it a little. The style is defined to facilitate and ease the process. But it can and may have variations.” Following that are some sketches of specific panels where the art style deviates from the norm Hyamara defined. They conclude, in parentheses: “I want to thank everyone who supported me through this, especially:”

In the next panel, three smiling people are over a colorful background (yellow, green and red). The first person is a white woman with a sweater and jeans, and long, dark brown hair, slightly wavy. With her hands (one of them has a wedding ring) she holds a camera. On her shoulders is a white-and-brown cat with eyes closed. Hyamara explains: “My sister, the voice for the audio description”; The second person is a white woman with a pink dress with blue and yellow details, long, straight and brown hair, and a dark necklace in her neck. Hyamara explains: “Aline, revisor of the image and audio descriptions in portuguese”. The last person is a white woman, a bit fatter than the others, who has short and light brown hair, glasses and blue eyes. She has a bit of stubble in her chin. She wears a white tank top, green shorts and a black knee brace. She holds a white cane that has blue details. Over her shoulder is the character Shadow from the game franchise Sonic the Hedgehog. Hyamara explains: “and Ocean, revisor of the image descriptions in english!”

Below is the introduction of another strip with the title: “Q and A”. It refers to questions and answers. Hyamara is to the right of the panel and points downwards to the next strip, smiling. They say: “No one commented on webtoon or tapas, pathetic, but I got some questions from friends and readers on insta, so here goes:” In the next panel, a title over a black square says: “question: which are your inspirations?”. In the panel, three characters are over a yellow watercolored background. The first character has white, long pink hair; the two other characters are turned next to each other. The second character has black and shoulder-length hair, and the third character has short hair and a beard. Hyamara, in the narration, explains: “Well, generally my daily life, but as webcomic references, some of my faves of the same genre are The Recloseted Lesbian by Obelis and My Giant Nerd Boyfriend by fishball”.

“And sometimes, and by that I mean often, I like to talk about it so I can process it.” Hyamara then turns to a white friend with red hair and pink shirt, and from Hyamara comes out a speech bubble with the realistic apple inside; from their friend, which replies thoughtfully, with a hand on their chin, comes out a speech bubble with a drawn apple, just with the colors red and green. Hyamara then suddenly turns to the reader and points towards you, smiling and sweating nervously. There are zoom lines to emphasize the movement. Hyamara shouts: “I realize I think too much about stuff!! But if I didn’t, this comic wouldn’t have any strips!! Fool!!”

Below is the introduction of another strip, with the title: “games 2”, with the 2 between parentheses. Hyamara has their back to the reader, playing games in their computer. The scene has emphasis in their monitor, which shows two characters from the game Xenoblade Chronicles 3, in a wide open field. The characters mumble, in scribbles, “I’m depressed”, and the other replies, “me too lol”. In the narration, Hyamara explains: “As previously mentioned, one of my hobbies is playing videogames.”

In the next panel, in a meme format, Hyamara has their hand extended and facing upwards, making the sign of “stop”. They turn their face to the opposite side with a disgusted expression. From Hyamara comes out a speech bubble where there are three small people and the forbidden sign (a circle with a diagonal slash in the middle). The scene continues and Hyamara points upward, with a relaxed posture and eyes closed, smiling. From Hyamara come out two speech bubbles: one of them with the Final Fantasy XIV logo (a meteor burning and the letters XIV inside) and the other with a single, small person inside. Hyamara explains, in the narration: “I don’t like multiplayers much, except Final Fantasy fourteen which has ruined my life so I do not play it all the time, otherwise I won’t live”, live starts with uppercase letters, “but I enjoy single players, indies and jrpgs a lot!” Multiplayer refers to a game which needs more than one player. Single player refers to a game which needs only one player. Indie refers to games developed independently. Jrpgs refers to the game genre japanese role playing game. The composition of this panel is a reference of Drake’s Hotline Bling meme.

In the next panel, Hyamara leans over the border of the panel, smiling with their mouth in the shape of a 3 (like a cat snout), and around them are various game characters. Hyamara asks: “Some of my favorites are these. Can you get all of them right?” The characters are, from right to left: Frisk and Flowey from Undertale, Kris from Deltarune, Madeline from Celeste, Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles 1, Link from The Legend of Zelda, Samus from Metroid, Amaterasu from Okami, the knight from Hollow Knight, Corvo from Dishonored, Cloud from Final Fantasy Seven, Claire from a Short Hike, and Meteor from Final Fantasy fourteen. In the next panel, there are two scenes: in one of them, Hyamara is speaking to a friend while they drink a coffee, with a smile; in the other one, Hyamara is playing an online game with friends. The game is visible in their monitor - where a knight rides a blue horse and there is a yellow tree in the horizon. It’s a reference to the game Elden Ring. Hyamara, in the narration, continues: “An exercise I do to help me remember, whenever possible, is to make sure I go out with friends or talk to them, not at text but a voice call, or personally, at least twice a week!!” In the next panel, Hyamara is working, looking at their monitor and drawing in their display tablet; but they cry with a sad smile (in a comical way). In the narration, they explain: “When work is too hectic I can’t do it though, so I just resign myself to feel like shit because I forget to talk to my friends lol”.

Then, suddenly, a white person with light brown hair down to their shoulders, black shirt and blue pants enters the panel and puts their hand on Hyamara’s shoulder, smiling. Hyamara turns towards the person and smiles too, surprised. In the narration, Hyamara concludes: “I appreciate a lot when they reach out to me when they can, though!!”

Below is the introduction of another strip, with the title: “brooder”. Hyamara comes from outside the panel to the left and smiles to the reader, asking: “Hello are you a brooder type like myself”. In the next panel, Hyamara has their hand on their chin and eyes closed, pondering. There’s a thought bubble in the shape of a cloud and, inside, the photo of an apple. Hyamara, in the narration, explains: “I am not sad or anything. I just like to rotate things in my head around. Until I understand them.”
