If you're not already reading it then please give the Power Fantasy a read. Honestly one of the best comics out there right now. It tells the story of 6 superhumans who must never fight each other if the world is to continue to exist.

When I started watching Kamen Rider it was with the second half of Heisei. Going back and watching Kuuga was a real whiplash.

Everything that is being human is being hollowed out of folk on a daily basis, and once that's done we'll either be helpless or monsters.

Pick up a pencil and draw, type out that idea. Be creative, mistakes and all, because that is what makes us human.

Even con artistry is a dying art. Now it's just the same shitty scripts recycled endlessly, no commitment to a bit. Every element of humanity, good and bad, hollowed out and discarded bar the endless want and hate that fuel to algorithms

Ironically I think this is one of the better executed ones in the last year.

Yeah, it's an especially impressive a sequence when you consider the fact that Raziel goes through multiple changes rather than just 1 which would have been easier on the animators.

Considering it was released in 1988, the morph transformation sequence from Willow STILL holds up extremely well, I think. This particular sequence was done by Industrial Light & Magic, and was a true milestone in the development of CGI.

Yeah, if I remember correctly one of the final scenes is him coming home unexpectedly while she was taking a bath and being confused to see his chair in the bathtub.

Another one to add to this, that I actually liked enough to buy a physical copy of the film even whilst I was living with my parents, is Air Doll by Hirokazu Kore-eda staring Bae Doona. The film follows a sex doll who comes to life one day (cw: has a bloody ending)

I love the fact that she chooses to remain a chair belonging to some random guy, just turning back now and then when she wants to. It resonated with me so much

I also enjoyed the Shaking Tokyo segment of the anthology, but wasn't a fan of the Merde one.
