I was speaking with an elderly American couple in church the other day who kept apologising...
It reminded me of working in Germany in the 90s when people of a similar age would also keep apologising...
He spent a couple of years on Ynys Mon, a place where literally everyone speaks at least some Welsh and so you might think...if he'd taken the opportunity...he'd be really good. Oh well...
