The moment the Affordable Care Act was signed into law.
It is a dirty shame how Republicans have tried to get rid of it, with no replacement in sight. Ever! I will always be grateful for President Obama. He truly cared about America.

Changing the LED Module
IMPORTANT: The lights in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments use LED technology that do not need to be replaced. If the lights do not illuminate when the door or drawer is opened, call for assistance or service. Refer to the Quick Start Guide for contact information.

The light in my 5-year-old refrigerator has started strobing. "No problem," I thought, "I'll replace the bulb."

Nope! Instead of a $3 bulb, Whirlpool wants me to pay hundreds of dollars for a repair visit. Non-replaceable LEDs are the worst. A proper country would have regulations about this.

I suspect that, unlike a US-bound healthcare provider, Amazon understands that's who they're up against and need to align their costs with.

well let me put it this way. Before I had insurance I just bought them on the darknet. I'd be buying them on the darknet still and can jump right back to that if Amazon gives me the finger. Prime shipping is outdoing some friendly guy in Laos in this particular case. Like netflix and pirate bay.

did that cost extra?

like, they didn't mention the word "Insurance" one time. It was a $25 Amazon prime button just like buying cat food.

Blue Cross Blue shield used to claim my epilepsy meds cost $600 a dose and they were giving me a "discount" when I only had to pay $250. Amazon did it all for me today for $25 via a text chat

In 2000 everyone wanted a head unit that could do everything... play MP3s off CD-R, remember that? Navigate folders and everything.

Now we want one with JUST a Bluetooth button and/or AUX jack, because we already carry an everything device around everywhere

Hi Marc, sorry to drop in from nowhere. Your post showed up in my favorite "reverse engineering" feed.

I had this same issue with a tiny devboard recently! Was able to overcome it by replacing one side of the keypad matrix with fixed Vccs. Making it n (or m) ANALOG ins rather than n+m digital I/O;

Newsom: "It's not about rule of law anymore. It's rule of Don. He's choosing which court decisions he agrees with. He's quite literally running an extortion racket. He's doing it with some of the most powerful corporate leaders. What does everything have in common? Tariffs. They're about leverage"

Heterochromia iridum - Wikipedia

saw my opto today, showed her this. She ID'd "nonuniform" HC, a partial annulus or sector of the retina with a gradient. Yours is central/radial, I have the "sectoral." One eye about 30Β° of mom's green & the rest dad's brown. I can't take a good eye-selfie, sorry.

The Great Compromise of the Constitutional Convention

The Senate exists for the same reason that the ACA doesn't have a public option: it was negotiated to placate the necessary votes. Slave states were nervous about being beholden to public will so we massively over-elevated state representation. www.law.cornell.edu/constitution...
