What is happening in the north is beyond comprehension, and the Israeli government and IDF have gone out of their way to ensure that the media has a hard time reporting it. Myself and @farrahfazal.bsky.social gathered some testimony, but it is one sliver of the horrors.

People who are used to having the power & authority to claim to speak for an entire community are deeply threatened by any dissenting views. Rather than acknowledge changing American Jewish opinion, they’d rather narrow the parameters of who counts as a “real” Jew.
