Oh, I hope he’d be more upset than that…

It struggles a bit to begin with and there is one really bad mis-step, but the final three episodes deliver on the promise.

I’m sure he would feel that Nus Braka was very like him.

Can someone please arrange for the Tangerine Tyrant to watch the last two episodes of Starfleet Academy?

My standard strategy is to avoid exclusive deals and spread the risk.

That’s what these services are designed to do.

Other distributors are pretty much guaranteed less evil. But Amazon still sell way more than anyone else.

Ah, interesting

It depends very much on how much they sell for. All I know is that an audiobook company bought the rights to the first two Green Man books, and then stopped. That tells me that nothing else I publish is economic as an audiobook.

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia GPs to be cancelled amid Middle East war The Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Grands Prix scheduled for next month are set to be cancelled as a result of the Middle East war.

No surprise here. Doubtless other unforeseen consequences of the War of Trump’s Ego will crop up soon.

Not even the Nazis expressly announced they were committing war crimes. Indeed, at Nuremberg war crimes were denied.

But here, openly, the US Secretary for Defense is explicitly admitting to committing war crimes.

That’s still hundreds of copies of a novel you’d need to sell. More depending on what that 20% is of. I just can’t see it working.

That’s the way I would expect it to go.

It still sounds potentially exploitative to me, but I guess if making audiobooks is a labour of love rather than a career then it works like being a writer. Fortunately I don’t have to make the decision. I don’t buy rights that I know I can’t use. But some of the authors I publish may be interested.

So basically you are telling me to sell the project to prospective narrators as if it would bring in professional rates even though I think the chances of it doing so are not good.

That very much depends on how much the narrator expects to earn.

One of the great things we have at OU Classical Studies is scholarships for MA students who are either teachers working in state schools or UK Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic students.

You can find out more and apply here: www.open.ac.uk/blogs/classi...

Excellent news, though as a publisher I cannot understand the rationale for selling an ebook for £96 when the paperback is under £23.

Of course it probably won’t be long before Amazon issues audio versions of books sold through them and dares us to try to sue for the theft of our work.

Your publisher would love to do audiobooks, but a) she won’t use automated text-to-speech tools to do it, and b) there’s little chancr thatvshe’d sell enough copies to cover the cost of a professional narrator.

Here it is more the case that Labour has long thought that it’s core support was poorly educated working class men. Blue Labour is a bunch of Oxbridge-educated men who think that working class men are stupid and bigotted.

Well this explains why Labour is so keen on “AI”.
