The illustration page is divided in 3 sections, first shows a timeline, second a couple examples, and the third one an extreme case. First Section is titled "How a Swarms come to Be", it shows a chubby human baby in a bed with a couple small spiders and fungi. The text pointing at the baby says "not much of a difference to wretched babies". Next there's a scroll reading "A Deal and a Close Friend". The last image is a young adult, clean, well-dressed, with big, long spider legs coming out of their back, and a small spider nested in their eye socket. They dont seem to be in pain or distress. The text pointing at this drawing says "hosts the god's brood" and "insect limbs are a boon". Second section is titled "How the swarm presents in society" and shows two swarm. The first one is a male-looking, well-built, holding a hoe-like tool. He's got the facial features of an insect, plus antennas. The text pointing at him says "farmers" and "well-fed, well-trained". The second swarm is a female-looking one, dressed in nice clothes, looking healthy. She is holding a big beetle in her arms like a baby. The top part of her skull is missing, and another beetle is nested inside of it. This doesn't seem to cause her pain or distress. The text pointing at her says "the passenger attaches itself to the body comfortably" and "some swarm also take caregiving duties". Another block of text of both figures says "swarm communes provide stability and order". Third section is titled "Extreme Case of Godly Favors" and shows a giant swarm in the shape of a moth, with fleshy limbs halfway between arms and insect legs. Its face has the vestigial remains of a pair of eyes, and maybe the slight bump of a nose. In their large abdomen sits a young, yet to be gifted swarm, a young girl of cheery expression. Some big moths hang around next to them. The text around, pointing at the big swarm say "favored swarm still cake care of the young", "not entirely insect-like" and "may even become fertile".
